MIDAS – MIcrofluidics Detection Using Acoustic Spectroscopy

We propose a novel, microfluidics-based device that senses biomolecular markers and viscoelastic properties of relevant bodily fluids by measuring their acoustic ?signature?. MIDAS has the potential to enable rapid, accurate, and handheld diagnostics that addresses the need for faster and early detection, earlier response to possible threats of epidemics, and personalized health monitoring devices.
