Nanoscale Neuromorphic Circuit to Model DemylinationRemyelination

We demonstrated Neuromorphic circuit models for Demyelinated and Remyelinated axons. Nanoscale devices including nanoresistors and nanotransistors are implemented in our simulation to minimize the size of the circuits and to address the scaling issues of traditional CMOS devices. The circuit models the action potentials of a neuron applied to a biological axon. We use the axon hillock module to generate the spikes of neuron, and use the cable module to transmit the spikes as an axon. The resistance and capacitance of the axon are tuned to simulate the demyelination and the remyelination. The results are compared to a mathematical model.
