Flexible Strain Sensors for Measuring Contractility Force of Human Stem Cell-Derived Cardiomyocytes

Contractility assessment of stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes is required to characterize their maturity and functional behavior in vitro. We have developed a low-cost, flexible strain sensor for in vitro measurement of cardiomyocyte contractility forces. Strain sensor fabrication, functional cardiac cell alignment and force measurement results are described in this report.
