Increasingly, medical data is being digitized, stored and evaluated at a later time. Maintaining authenticity of such data is critical to ensure that the data is used to provide diagnostics and therapeutics for the correct patient. For systems generating visual information, such as imaging streams, insertion of other visual biometric information, such as facial photographs, into the data at the point-of-care can serve as useful, intrinsic yet externally visible and easily obtainable identifiers.
