Functional Glove for Pediatric Therapy of Hemiplegia

This paper presents a prototype of a non-constraining, functional glove. This therapy device is part of a novel biofeedback system and a physical therapy method for rehabilitation of infants and children diagnosed with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. The glove uses two piezoelectric sensors to detect hand opening and an audio-visual module to provide feedback with audio and visual stimuli as rewards.
